Fantasy
I have been working on a children's book lately. It's a fantasy book, and fantasy has been a genre I am attracted to. In the "Spanish Chest" feature spec, I have mixed the drama with fantasy. When I grew up, I read a few fantasy stories, and the two I remembered clearly were Grimm Brother's "Red Riding Hood" and Oscar Wilder's "Happy Prince." Through these stories I read about good and evil, courage and giving and it grew up with me. Fantasy as it's own genre has great power to grab the heart of the young and young in heart. They are seeds before the trees, and trees before the forest. The power of a story is not how well it is written, but the imprint it leaves.
