Flight over the Cuckoo's Nest

I've been working on the story of "Flight over the Cuckoo's Nest." Ironically, I haven't seen the "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" myself. The writing is hard since I have to write about the mentally ill patients, out of both compassion and realism. It's also hard because the conditions in the mental hospital were still somewhat harsh. I didn't dare to finish "Silver Lining's Playbook" the first time I watched it . It is too real to make you scared. So, I wonder if I ever has the guts to watch "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest"?
